Artist Biography :

Originally from Saskatchewan, Lorraine is now a resident of Gimli, Manitoba, Canada.
Lorraine began her artistic career while living in a somewhat isolated National Park in British Columbia. While her husband was employed by the R.CM.P., Lorraine and her family were subjected to many transfers in British Columbia and Manitoba until finally retiring and settling in Gimli.

During these many moves, the family was able to enjoy the changing landscapes and Lorraine painted everything from mountains to prairie scenes. She has been using watercolours, acrylics, oils and mixed media in her landscape paintings.
Some of her art works have been commissioned and can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, Mexico, England, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Iceland and Australia.

Lorraine Bohn is a Manitoba Society of Artists ( M.S.A. ) member, as well as belonging to the Gimli Art Club where she has completed three paintings on the Sea Wall at the harbour in Gimli, Manitoba.

Further art work can be seen at some local businesses in Gimli, and also in Winnipeg at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
