Chris & Dan Pona

"Whatever you do, do it well"

         -Walt disney

The love of glasswork has captivated both Chris & Dan for almost twenty-five years; experimenting in stained, fused, mosaic and various mixed forms.

The challenges and intricacies associated with cutting and shaping glass keeps bringing them back into the studio for more. That is evident in the pieces they create; nothing is ever simple. This doesn’t preclude their other varied interests, which include Chris’s stone and wood painting and Dan’s photography.

This couple call the quaint Village of Matlock home and their studio is always a going concern, with some sort of project on the go. They are proud of their quiet and unassuming accomplishments. Many of their creations have graced the windows, tables and walls from near and far. Commissioned work can found throughout the Interlake, Canada, United States and as far as Europe and Africa.

The love of travel leads into Dan’s interest in photography, specifically landscape, street and wildlife. Sharing highlights with others through cards, canvas prints and mats is part of the varied offerings.

Chris and Dan invite you to view their work at the Gimli Art Club as well as at their studio. We enjoy chatting about glass creations, photography or whatever your fancy. Studio visits can be arranged by appointment.
